◎ LiveCD server installation

LiveCDserver can be downloaded as an ISO file (only 74MB) which can be burned into a CD-R for use. Each installation will be provided with 2 months of free trial with 100% full functions as of an official version and unlimited number of users (Maxmun = 50000 accounts).

Before 2 months of free trial expires, you can purchase a serial number of the official version and simply enter the purchased serial number into the free trial version and complete registration procedure, then it will become an official version and all the earlier stored data will be still kept without any installation again.

LiveCD Server system will auto update by itself when you keep the defautl configuration , remember to keep online with your LiveCD Server.
 

Hardware:
 

  • CD-ROM or DVD-ROM via IDE or SATA Interface
  • Please burn the LiveCD Server system to an empty CD only (DVD is unsupported); using CD which contains system of Linux kernel 2.6 or later edition can restart computer directly. 
  • LiveCD Server is designed to be independent of hardware; therefore, after install the system, user can still change or upgrade computer hardware without resetting it.
     
System Requirements:
  • CPU : Intel Pentium , Celeron, Core 2 Dule, AMD k7/K8 or above
  • RAM : 512MB or above
  • Hard Drive : 20G or above via IDE / SCSI / SATA; must support RAID.
  • Network Connection : ADSL Static IP or PPPoe
  • Dynamic IP is not appropriate for building MailServer

 

Installation Instruction (process completes around 5 minutes)

1: Press the FREE DOWNLOAD button to download the ISO file "livecdserver_3.141.iso".

2: Open a burning software (here we use NERO as the example) and follow the instruction which shows on the picture below.

3. Select the ISO file "livecdserver_3.141.iso" which you just download.

4: Follow the instruction which shows on the picture below to select the burning options.

5: Start burning; it will take several minutes.

6: A pop-up message will show the burning process is completed.

7: Take out the burning CD and insert it to the computer which you want to install LiveCD Server.

8: Enter the BIOS Setup interface to make CD-ROM as the top priority to start the computer, and then disable other options. (BIOS Setup interface may differ; the picture below is for reference only)

9: Start computer via CD-ROM; and before install LiveCD Server, the system will ask you to format the hard drive (please select "Yes").

Next set up SWAP; just keep it as the default and press "OK".

If the system shows the two messages as the red frame messages on the picture below, it means the system has found the CD-ROM and SATA HDD.
(For Linux system, /dev/hdc represents IDE interface; and /dev/sda stands for SATA interface.)

After format the hard drive, the system will restart the computer automatically. After the computer restart, the system will show some messages as the picture shows below. Please note the red frames area: If you just have one network card, then the system will only show the default value of WAN IP; but if you install two network cards, then besides WAN IP, the system will also show the default value of LAN IP. (Press "s" to set up more options.)

After press "s", you can first set up your WAN IP; as for other options, just come back later to make changes when it's necessary.
